If you are new to U of T, choose FIRST UTORid/TCard.

Choose REPLACEMENT if:

your original TCard was lost, damaged or stolen OR
your appearance has notably changed due to gender transition or facial surgery OR
your name has changed OR
you have spent time away from U of T

Other students with a U of T connection(Required)

For students at U of T Schools, the School of Continuing Studies, or pursuing post-graduate, postdoctoral or professional studies.

Other staff with a U of T connection(Required)

For staff connected to U of T through related organizations, including the Faculty Club, federated colleges, continuing or postdoctoral studies, seminaries or labs.

As a staff with a U of T connection, you will need to present ONE of the following original and unexpired government issued identification documents to validate your identity, in order to receive your new or replacement TCard.

As a long-term guest who falls into one of the categories below and does not appear in the University of Toronto Human Resources Information System (HRIS), the department you are working for should apply for a Long-Term Guest UTORid.

Short-term visitors are not eligible for a TCard.

Short-term guests who require a UTORid for a period of 5 days or less can be sponsored by a University of Toronto staff or faculty member for a Short-Term Guest UTORid.

As a School of Continuing Studies student, you will need to present ONE of the following original and unexpired government issued identification documents to validate your identity, in order to receive your new or replacement TCard.

To activate your UTORid, you will require a Secret Activation Key (SAK). This can be found at the top of your POWER registration record.

TCard for a person who is both staff and undergraduate/graduate student(Required)

Your status as a student is your PRIMARY role as it relates to your TCard. The documentation you need to bring to pick up your TCard depends on whether you are a NEW OR RETURNING student.

As your appearance has notably changed, you will need to present ONE of the following documents to pick up your TCard. NOTE: A change of hair colour, haircut or facial hair is not considered a notable change that requires an updated TCard photo.

Timing for a replacement TCard(Required)

The required legal and/or identity documentation will vary depending on whether you have been registered at U of T within the last 2 years OR you are returning after taking a break for 2 or more years.

Since you are replacing your TCard within 2 years of receiving your previous TCard, you will need to present ONE of the following original and unexpired documents at your TCard appointment:

REMINDERS:

We CANNOT accept a Notice of Birth Registration card. This is a small laminated card that says it is not a birth certificate on the card itself.

We CANNOT accept a Certificate of Live Birth. This is a long form, handwritten document that is not a Canadian Birth Certificate.
