Photo & Documentation Upload

Before you start:

  • This is only available to newly admitted students OR those that have been asked to resubmit their photo and/or documentation.
  • You must enable your JOINid. Find your JOINid on your Offer of Acceptance letter along with your student number.
  • Confirm what documentation you need to submit by using our documentation tool.

Note: An active UTORid and U of T email address is not required for course enrollment.

Note: Students registered for the Spring/Summer Term of 2024 can submit their photo and documentation starting from April 1st, 2024. Newly admitted students enrolled in the Fall term of 2024 will become eligible for submission as of May 1st, 2024.

Important:

Processing time may take up to 5 business days, as all submissions are reviewed one-by-one by a TCard staff member.

Submissions with incomplete documentation or photos that do not meet our guidelines will (i) result in additional processing delays and (ii) require you to resubmit your photo and documentation.

Photos that have been altered or enhanced will not be accepted

Hair coverings worn for medical or religious reasons are allowed but your full face must be visible in your TCard photo. Individuals must also present valid government-issued photo documentation with full-face visible (religious hair covering is okay). Individuals who wear a face covering who prefer to have their full face photo taken and documentation validated privately by a staff person the student feels comfortable with, can email the TCard office on their campus to make this request.

Photos submitted online cannot be guaranteed to be viewed by specific staff members. Please refer to the Notice of Collection in the TCard Terms & Conditions for information on how the TCard photo is used. If you have any concerns, please contact the Assistant Director, TCard Services.
