St. George TCard Office Re-Opening September 8

By appointment only

Starting September 8, students, staff and faculty who need a physical TCard for access to buildings, meal plans, etc., will be able to book an in-person appointment via CLNx to get their card at the 214 College St. office.

TCard Services will be implementing a number of changes in its St. George office as part of the University’s plans to keep students, staff and faculty safe this fall. In addition to moving to appointments only, the TCard Office will allow no more than three visitors in the office at any time, have plexiglass in front of each workstation, more frequent cleaning, among other safety measures.

Newly admitted students who don’t need a physical TCard can still book a remote appointment via CLNx to activate their UTORid (which is the key to online resources including UTMail+ and library services).

Students, before booking an appointment via CLNx, be sure to:

Note for newly admitted students in residence: TCards will be provided to you at your residence, so please don’t book an in-office appointment. A residence staff member will give you more information.

Staff/faculty who require a physical TCard (e.g. to access buildings/labs on campus) can also book an in-person appointment via CLNx.

A TCard is not required to access Curbside Services (if you have not picked up your new TCard yet, government-issued ID will be acceptable).

  • For access to U of T Library online resources, users require an active UTORid.
  • For curbside pick-up, users who do not have a TCard can present other government ID.
  • If you are a staff member, faculty member, or librarian who does not have a UTORid but require library access, contact Reader Registration to be issued this information, virtually. Remote access does not require that a TCard is issued.
  • From September to December, 2020, the libraries which are open on the St. George Campus (Robarts and Gerstein) will require that an active TCard be presented for access to the study spaces. There is no access to the stacks in any libraries. Until you have been able to pick up your TCard at the TCard Office, the libraries will accept other ID in order to check your status.

For TCards at Mississauga and Scarborough campuses will continue remote services with UTORid activations through MyPhoto submissions and CLNx appointments.

  • Mississauga campus TCard at the I&ITS Service Desk will provide TCards to new students who have completed a remote appointment, starting Thursday, September 3rd in the CCT link, entrance closest to the student centre. Learn more about Mississauga TCard.
  • Scarborough campus TCard at the Registrars Office will remain closed and TCards will be provided to students and staff as needed. Learn more about requesting a TCard on the Scarborough campus.
